yup they moved up the release date!“I’m really excited because it means the fans will get to see the movie earlier!” Clare told us. “It also reflects a lot of confidence in the film on the part of the studio to move it to a Wednesday release date so I’m really excited about that, too.”
So I got it in my head this morning to draw this scene. Where Valentine tells Sebastian why his mother is gone. I wanted it to be authentic so I got @CassieClare to write the dialog!
So.. totally canon scene right here. This is how it went down.
aka. holy crap Valentine could you be a worse father?
His eyes shone when he looked at her, green as spring grass.
He has always had green eyes, said the voice in her head. People often marvel at how much alike you are, he and your mother and yourself. His name is Jonathan and he is your brother; he has always protected you.
Somewhere in the back of Clary’s mind she saw black eyes and whip marks, but she didn’t know why. He’s your brother. He’s your brother, and he’s always taken care of you.
All true. They’re working on the sneak peek of the movie right now!
You guys, you guys, we’re getting a sneak peek of The Mortal Instruments at LeakyCon. We’re freaking out.
Plus Cassie’s coming to hang out!
The Mortal Instruments poster in my local theater is too high up! I can’t reach it!
The cover of the next of the Bane Chronicles: The Runaway Queen! Enjoy, my lovelies! Magnus, what a distinguished ring you have.
When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with odd markings. This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons-and keeping the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It’s also her first meeting with gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vegeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in an ordinary mundane like Clary? And how did she suddenly get the sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know…
Atop the wings was a folded piece of paper, addressed to the New York Institute. After splashing water on her face, Maryse had taken the letter and read it. It was short - one sentence - and was signed with a name in a handwriting oddly familiar to her, for in it there was an echo of Valentine’s cursive, the flourishes of his letters, the strong, steady hand. But it was not Valentine’s name. It was his son’s.
Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern.
She held it out to Brother Zachariah. He took it from her fingers and opened it, reading, as she had, the single word of Ancient Greek scrawled in elaborate script across the top of the page.
Erchomai, it said.
I am coming.
Wow, this is amazing! Thank you guys so much who put this together and contributed.
Yesterday I was crying over fictional cats, now I am crying over how great the Shadowhunter fandom is, all over the world. Pretty soon we’ll have to dig a very big hole in my backyard just so we can put my grateful tears to use as a neighborhood swimming pool.
A Very TMI Thank You (by TMIsource)
